This is the first page of the VSAM File LISTCAT.
The information in this area consists of several displays.
Areas that require attention are highlighted in yellow or red
and can be used to tune the VSAM cluster.
The displays are accompanied by a Help file that can be used
to assist the system programmer in determining why the field was
highlighted and what can be done to correct the situation.
For example, in this particular case, the CI and CA free
space percentages have been highlighted in yellow.
In addition, the insert statistic has also been highlighted
in yellow. The
highlighting is an alert that free space has been specified for a
file but there have been no insert activity.
If the free space is not required, it should be eliminated to
recover unusable disk space.
